Company Profile

SEPE, the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology Enterprises (SEPE) is a non-profit organization, established in March 1995 through the initiative of 75 Information Technology (I.T.) Enterprises.

The members of SEPE are mainly Software Developers, Hardware manufacturers, Hardware and Software Distributors, Telecommunication Companies and/or Consultants. SEPE's 250 members currently represent more than 90% of the country's turnover in the Information Technology and Telecommunications Industry.

The main objectives of SEPE are to promote Information Technology and Communications in Greece and enlarge the I.T. and Telecommunication Industry's market share. SEPE also represents the interests of the Greek I.T. Enterprises vis-a-vis the Greek Government, the European Commission, the World IT Services Alliance (WITSA), the European I.T. Services Association (EISA), international exhibitions and other bodies of influence.

SEPE' policies are administered by the Board of Directors which is elected every two years by SEPE's General Assembly. The Board is supported by six expert groups in the areas of: Public Works, Electronic Commerce, SME's, Certification, Multimedia and Telecommunications SEPE's professional staff is headed by Mr.Fokion Zaimis, General Director.

SEPE organizes several activities for its members such as Conferences, Round Tables, Seminars, Press Conferences, Information Days and the international exhibition Infoworld'98. Furthermore, SEPE offers important Consulting Services to its member organizations.

Fokion Zaimis. Mr Zaimis is the General Director of the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology Enterprises (SEPE). Also General Secretary of the Union of Greek Press Abroad. He is a graduate of Patras University and was a trainee (Stage, 1991) in the Commission of the European Communities - Directorate General XVII Brussels. He is responsible for composing and publishing the periodical ''SEPE NEWS'' and other articles concerning SEPE's activities.

Christina Troumpetari. Mrs Christina Troumpetari holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Civil Administration from the University of Athens. In addition, she has completed graduate studies in Business Administration. Since 1998, she has held the position of Co-ordinator of SEPE's Administration, specialised in European Projects. She has been also involved as a consultant in Projects of the Union of Greek Press Abroad.
